Abstract

Detecting the edge plays an important role in explaining the data of the potential field, which is used widely as a tool in the mineral resource exploration technologies. One of the most common methods for edge detection is using of the analytical signal. The interference of the anomaly adjacent sources ensue the limitation of the use of analytic signal in detecting the border of the masses. In order to overcome this problem have been used the enhanced analytical signals, but this method cannot display simultaneously the edges of anomalies with strong and weak domains, in present study has been used the enhanced analytical signal of different orders. Where, vertical derivative of the potential field data has been used for normalized enhanced analytical signal of different orders. In this study, the filters introduced by Yao et al.(2015) have been investigated. For this purpose, the new edge detector filter has been introduced the called Normalization Analytic Signal (NAS), where the first order vertical derivative of potential field data has been used to normalize it. Then the normalized second order enhanced analytic signal (NSAS) and modified normalized third order enhanced analytic signal (MNTAS) has been introduced, respectively. Also in this study, the diagrams have been drawn using Oasis montaj 6.4.2 software. Data along profiles has been used for reduction the effects of the surface anomalies and noises. Moreover, this method has been applied on artificial data from various synthetic models to assess the accuracy and efficiency of the mentioned filters. In the next the second-order vertical derivative of the potential field data has been used to normalize second order enhanced analytic signal, in order to estimate the real data there has been added generated noise to the synthetic data. The Normalized total horizontal derivative (TDX) and Tilt angle of the total horizontal gradient (TAHG) filters has been used for comparing and evaluating the proposed method with others.  In order to verify, after application of the Normalized enhanced analytical signal filter on synthetic data, these filters has been used for the interpretation of ground magnetic data which has been collected from the Maki in the region of Kashmar.
